Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1: Kigali city tour – Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park
Pick up from airport or hotel in the morning. For a vibrant city tour of Kigali. visit to the Kigali genocide memorial center, the main city market, the presidential palace museum, artisan shops and much more, after lunch drive to Volcanoes national park via the enchanting country side alongside vast tea plantations. Day 2
Day 2: Gorilla trekking – Gorilla Guardians Village visit
Early breakfast and orientation by park wardens. All trackers will be assigned one of 10 habituated gorilla families in the volcanoes national park based on your overall fitness. Gorilla tracking in the Volcanoes National Park is 2 to 6 hours. Always stay calm even when the silverback attempts to show its mighty dominance power. There after primates sporting and observation for one hour, lunch at the hotel. Afternoon drive to Gorilla Guardians cultural village for a cultural delight of the day. Five Volcanoes Hotel
Day 3
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking – Visiting Lake Burera and Ruhondo
Another day at volcanoes national park for the golden monkey tracking. 2 hours hiking, you will sport them feeding on top of tree branches and on the ground. Golden monkeys are found in 3 countries – Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They are critically endangered and face great threats from human activities. Ultimately very playful and cute troops of up to 80 individuals. Hike down for lunch there after drive to visit the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. Day 4
Day 4: Transfer to back Kigali
After breakfast, check our and transfer at your own leisure time to Kigali hotel or airport transfer.
